The development of South East Orlando’s Medical City is staggering - two new hospitals, a research center, a college and the introduction of a wealth of new medical facilities and resources to support them.

This month’s anticipated grand opening gala for the ENDO-Surgical Center located next to the Digestive and Liver Center of Florida’s (DLCFL) new 30,000 sq ft, state of the art medical facility, located at the ENDO Plaza on 100 North Dean Road, between the 408 and Lake Underhill Road, marked the end of a four year creation and development process in East Orlando.

Dr. Srinivas Seela, Dr. Harinath Sheela and Dr. Seela Ramesh started seeing patients in their new office location in early May of last year. The center treats patients for a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, liver diseases and pancreatobiliary disorders. They also offer advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal cancer screening, pre and post liver transplant evaluation and a variety of other cutting edge procedures, including endoscopic ultrasound. In February of 2012, the state of the art surgery center began performing endoscopies and colonoscopies and helping patients with the management, treatment and healing of their digestive and liver related surgical health issues.  “Every aspect of the building design was scrutinized by us to ensure patients feel at ease the minute they walk through the doors." says Dr. Sheela

The grand opening gala, organized by Posh Able Events  (Orlando’s Luxury Corporate and Social Event Planner) was held on Saturday, May 5th under a full moon in a tented area to the left of the building. The event was very well attended, over 300 VIP guests made up of the who-is-who in the local medical community, joined by their guests, local officials and community members. The interactive and engaging event was a Cirque inspired Casino Night under the stars.  Entertainment included a world champion fire eater Umi Martin, America’s Got Talent finalist Zangaro Brothers and entertainer of the year nominee CircX.  Paula Wyatt of Posh Able Events offers, “We used over 20 luxury Orlando area event service companies to create this magical event for our client, from a living table to magic ice cream presentation..no detail was left undone”

Founded in 2005, Digestive and Liver Center of Florida's mission is to provide Compassionate, Caring and Sophisticated Medical Care for patients in an atmosphere that emphasizes in equal parts state of the art medical care along with a warm and caring environment.  DLCFL is proud to offer bilingual staff and Saturday hours."We do everything we can to make sure that our patients have a positive, educational experience, because that's what we would want if the roles were reversed", states Dr. Seela.
